Our Story

Over the past years, several YWAM bases felt guided to focus and pray more on Luxembourg for the coming seasons. This resulted in a prayer day held in Luxembourg-city in June 2022.
As there are not many Luxembourgish YWAM’ers out there, they invited Steve Philipp a Luxembourger and former YWAMer, living in Belgium to join.After this meeting Steve decided to join YWAM again and to focus on bringing teams to Luxembourg and see how he can combine this, with his passion for art and music. Together with Martijn Bruggeman, from YWAM Wallonia/Belgium and in cooperation with YWAM Heidebeek and YWAM Brussels, they will focus on bringing teams to Luxembourg, organise another prayer meeting and work on other ideas to bring Luxembourg onto the map.

Steve Philipp

Steve Philipp, born 1970 in Echternach/Luxembourg, joined YWAM/Brussels/BE in 2003.
He worked as a cook, bookkeeper, DTS leader and initiator and manager of an art bar called akaZOE.
In 2016 he left YWAM to concentrate on a new project called U-NITE, a festival and event organisation that builds community using the arts.
In 2022 he joined YWAM again, with the goal to bring teams to Luxembourg and find the people to install a permanent YWAM presence in Luxembourg.
Steve is passionate about, DJing, music, event management, art, cooking, justice, sustainable lifestyle, think global – act local.
